City Weekly - Pizza Hunt

The search continues. Through the years, I’ve written about dozens of local pizza joints in hope of finding the perfect pizza. …Pizzeria Seven Twelve is as notable for its “antipizza” course as it is for its pies. The selection of small dishes suggested to precede your pizza varies with the season, but the fresh corn, roasted in the pizza oven and dusted with chile, makes you want summer to last forever. Instead of this year’s measly 7 weeks or so. read article.

City Weekly - Utah's Best Pizza Joints
Feb 25, 2011.
Every once in a while, I need to break away from tomato sauce and mozzarella. For that, I turn to places with eclectic, gourmet pizzas. One of the best is Pizzeria Seven Twelve (320 S. State, Orem, Pizzeria712.com). The pizzas here are as un-standard as they are delicious. To wit, how about a wood-fired, thin-crust, rustic pizza with red onion, roasted corn, chiles, Grana Padano cheese and preserved Meyer lemon gremolata? Wow, that’s different. read article.
Serious Eats - Fantastic Wood Fired Pizza at....

If Salt Lake City doesn’t seem to get much credit as a food town, then Orem, Utah—45 miles south—isn’t even on the radar.
But between a series of strip malls, down a long drive, and across from what looks to be a half-finished rent-an-office space, is Pizzeria Seven Twelve. It’s remarkable to find really good Neapolitan-style pizzas in this location. read article
City Weekly - Pizzeria Seven Twelve
According to the owners, Pizzeria Seven Twelve is an exercise in the possibilities of sustainability, seasonal cooking, freshness, and … Ping-Pong. Yup, the boys play Ping-Pong at night in the kitchen to “set their minds right.” But don’t get the idea that this is your typical pizzeria. For starters, you won’t find pepperoni on the menu. And how many pizza joints can you name that feature dishes such as braised-beef short ribs, wood-roasted Brussels sprouts or white-bean stew? read article.
City Weekly - Back to Basics

If you order a Coca-Cola at Pizzeria Seven Twelve in Orem, you’ll get your Coke in a glass bottle from Mexico. The reason is that Mexican Coke is still made with cane sugar, while Coca-Cola in the USA contains corn syrup, because it’s cheaper. Coke made with old-fashioned cane sugar simply tastes better; that’s why it’s served at Pizzeria Seven Twelve. That is a tellingi detail about a restaurant where everything seems to taste better. Quality matters. read article
